What a storming month! Lauren picking up some serious bling!
“So happy I picked up most improved female from March 16 season to April 17 š as well as 5k, 5 mile, 10k, 10 mile and half marathon winner!”
Please help us congratulate the wonderful Lydia on her pregnancy news! A beautiful wedding last month and now with a little baby White on the way – how exciting! We reckon it might be a future olympian in making š
So, let’s kick off the start of the new week with a catch up of some of the brilliant performances from the Running Made Easy Team!
First up is Lauren with the Liverpool Spring 10K.
“So so hot today, it wasn’t about time or position for me today. It about getting around and feeling comfortable as I struggle in heat. Managed to place 2nd Female and 101st over.”
It was a busy day for triple threat Emma. Running the 1500m wasn’t enough – she competed in the 5000m and the 4x400m relay to top off a brilliant day of racing! With a PB and 2nd place over the 1500m, unfortunately the 5000m didn’t go as smoothly. On pace for a PB, the officials miscounted the laps which meant it turned out to be a 4.7km race – it just means we’ll have to wait another few weeks to see Emma smash her 5000m best!
REPOST FROM @thelongrunback_rachel
12 miles in 1:59:19 today.
Well I was so inspired by theĀ #londonmarathonĀ (just like ever year!) that I just had to share this. The firstĀ #halfmarathonĀ I did was back in 2015, I don’t have any pictures from it, and finished in 1:58:27 – my most recent was earlier this year with a finishing time of 1:42:50.
It took 3 years of learning, heartbreaking, frustration, blisters, poorly tummies and long miles, but I knocked 16 minutes off my time. If anyone watching the marathon today has been inspired and wants to start running, but thinks they aren’t good enough, ignore the doubtful thoughts and just run! The reward you get from this sport is incredible, and you will learn so much about yourself on the way.
Well done runners from this years marathon! You’re all superstars for running, especially in this heat.

We’re a little late to the party… but we wanted to congratulate Lydia & her husband Martin on their beautiful wedding! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and of course a lot more miles together!
