It was a cracking day out for both Jay and Lauren at the Mad Dog 10k. In his first race of the year, Jay took a spot on the podium – coming 3rd out of 2600 runners – and a brand new spanking PB of 35:04.

Not to be out done – Lauren also came away with a HUGE PB of 38:35 to take 4th place.
What a start to 2018 for both!
Lydia came away with a BRILLIANT 3rd place at the Valentines 10K – clocking 41.34.

“Happy birthday me. Starting 28 off right with a 3rd place finish at the Valentines 10K in Chessington ๐๐ฅ Haven’t raced this distance properly in over a year so I was expecting to die at 8K. But I overtook about eight ladies and found myself within striking distance of the podium with 10mins to go, and so I thought “What would Lydia do?”. WHATEVER IT BLOODY TAKES THAT’S WHAT. Nobody remembers who came 4th right?! ๐”
Rachel B has had a tough ride over the winter months with illness but it’s been great to see her on the comeback trail! Missing her PB by only 2 seconds after a disrupted couple of weeks and on a pretty challenging course – The Lee Valley 10K – Rachel clocked a 45:58. ย We can’t wait to see her tackle the Half Marathon next!

Great race from Scott – clocking a 17:38 PB at the Podium 5K. Nearly 30s off his previous 5K! Now the focus switches to the longer distances!

WHAT A WEEKEND!! Serious dose of couple goals from Jay & Lauren at the Mad Dog 10k in Southport. Two brand spanking new PBs for both! Jay clocking 35:04 for 3rd out of 2600 runners and Lauren who finished in 4th running an incredible 38:35 to knock a HUGE 45seconds off her old best time!!ย #boom

Rachel attacked the cross country season with some brilliant results.
In her own words, “The best XC race I’ve ever done. 5th in the County Champs, and knocked a whole minute off same course last year. Dead pleased, so with my 10k, it’s proving to me that the new training is really starting to work, so thankyou both, just the boost I needed.”

That was following on from a cracking 10K PB by 11 seconds in horribly bitter weather conditions. Certainly a sub 40 beckoning!

What a start to 2018! ๐๐๐
Cracking 10K PB from Alison, racing in freezing conditions (-1ยฐ with 18mph winds!! โ) over in Houston, USA! ๐บ๐ธ๐
42.33!
Claiming 2nd place on the podium & knocking off a nice chunk from her previous best. Lots more to come we are sure!!

From @scott_boardman93 –
“What a year 2017 has been, definitely my best running wise out of the 3, ran personal bests at every distance from 5k to half, knocking 6 minutes off my half time!
Not confirmed my goals yet for 2018 yet, but I have a few ideas… One simple one is to have a positive mindset about everything thrown at me!
Finished 2017 with a 10 mile run with a friend this morning. 2650km ran this year, which is 450km more than I ran in 2016.”
