A three time Olympian, Michael has been a long standing member of the British athletics team and Team GB for over 10 years (and counting!) With European medals, Commonwealth final appearances and a number of World Championships and Olympic Games under his belt, Michael has been fortunate to rub shoulders and learn from many of the World’s greatest endurance coaches and athletes. Specialising in the summer months mainly over middle-distance, Michael’s winter training regularly involves work up to 10k and has even been known to race on the roads over 10 miles!

Rio 2016 – Olympic Semi-Final, 800m

Michael is the first male athlete over 800m to win national titles for every age group, from under 15 level all the way up to senior level. He is also a seven time National Champion, which is a record breaking number for his event. With all the ups there have also been downs (injuries) so he is very well placed to help athletes avoid the pitfalls of injury, but also help develop the beginner, as he has started from scratch himself, many times before.

A two-time Olympian, Eilish has represented Team GB over both the 3,000m steeplechase and more recently, the 5,000m. After making the World Championship Final in 2013, an injury-plagued few years took hold. Following surgery on a broken ankle, a decision was made to switch to the 5,000m – a tough decision but one which has had fantastic results. Eilish is still coached by her mother – World Champion and Olympic Silver Medallist, Liz McColgan . It truly is remote coaching at it’s best, with Eilish residing in the UK and Liz in Doha, Qatar.
